Lake Farmhouse: Side Porch (and My Painting Process)

I have a personal history/relationship with this particular farmhouse. So, naturally I want to paint it from all angles. (I first painted it here)
I painted this two days ago and snapped images during the process...
2. I began by blocking in the white, since it's one of the most prominent colors and the focus.
3. Shadows go in next. And may I add that when shadows are involved, white is crazy exciting because it's never JUST white. They always have shades of blue, violet, green, etc.
4. Next I added the small patch of sky to the middle.
5. After the sky, I added in the "grays and blacks" on and under the house. Note: grays and blacks have a greater depth if they are created by using a combination of the three primary colors (blue, red and yellow) Add in a little white to achieve your desired shade of gray.
6. Time to add the background greenery. I kept this basic to match the painting style of the house - very little detail.
7 and 8. I added in the overhanging limbs and leaves. In these pictures (a little easier to note here on Instagram), I immediately went into default detail mode and began painting detailed leaves on the branches. Luckily, I put down my brush, slept on it, woke up in the middle of the night thinking of it, and the following day I corrected this by going over the leaves to show less detail.
My palette includes: ultramarine blue, cadmium red medium, cadmium yellow, burnt umber light, and titanium white. I also use an airbrush medium to thin and extend the drying time of the acrylic paint.
This will go into the shop this weekend. Why not today, you ask?
Well that would be my bad. We are at the cabin this week and before leaving I packed up my art supplies in my duffle and my "for sale" items in a separate box. That "for sale" box is currently sitting smack dab in the middle of my studio table. GRRRR. Hence, all originals, prints and cards are currently deactivated until this weekend. #artistprobs.

1. I toned the primed canvas with burnt umber (all work is done in acrylics), then sketched the image using a white pastel pencil.
