focus on life: routine
Almost three years ago, and for many reasons, my routine began to fall apart. It seemed that I was always in a different place, doing something different each day - adapting but at the same time questioning, stalling, coasting.

Now, finally, a new normal has been settled upon and it's time to find my new "routine".

Because of this (not so little) struggle, "routine" is the ideal prompt for this week's Focus on Life series. Personally, routine is tied directly to motivation, inspiration, creativity, purpose and direction.

And so for now, my only "set in stone" daily routine begins like many others...lots of coffee, breakfast and emails. After that...

...it's back to the studio. finally. I've decided to move forward and see where the path leads.

  1. I was just thinking about you the other day...thinking this very thing, that you would be able to settle down now and gather yourself together. I am very happy for you, that finally, no more traveling and living apart.

Wishing you a very good..'new beginning'. xo

    1. Thanks Carole! I'm in love with the new fabric, too. Since I'm late starting I'm trying to work on a few new bags which will transition easily from summer to fall. :-)

  5. Isn't it funny that so many of us have the same routine; coffee, breakfast, catch up on emails and blogs, and that's where the routine ends.

    I love the colorful fabrics!

    Enjoy your new routine!

  6. I agree Alice, how most of us have the same routine in the mornings....do you think it is because that is the norm in the US? In fact I think this has been a practice since the beginning of time....lol. My sister doesn't drink coffee, but she has to have a coke first thing in the morning...so does my son...he has to have some kind of soda....how funny when you really start thinking about it....I am curious now to see how many more of us follow the same routing....

  11. Another morning routine, mine usually ends with the mid-day routine of anoutside job. The idea of working from home appeals and terrifies!

  12. Good for you, Lori!!
I think the word "routine" get a really bad rap sometimes, as there is most definitely something to be said about having one.

    Happy Sunday to you!
