meditative birds

I love birds. (except for the cardinal who banged against our windows for an entire spring and summer one year - another story for another day)
Honestly, I don't know a lot about birds. But I love them.
You know how sometimes you simply cannot focus no matter how hard you try? I've been that way for the past couple of days. No matter what...ugh.
Meditation. That's what I need. Meditative painting of imaginary, sweet birds.

ReplyDeleteThey are very beautiful. I love the colors ;)
ReplyDeleteLori this bird is amazing, so beautiful! The colours and details are wonderful
ReplyDeleteYes, I too love that bird. I would even frame it and hang on my studio wall just to gaze at. At my desk I have a window that looks out into the yard at my bird feeder, so I get tons of local birds, even crows...they are really funny to watch, and woodpeckers, cardinals, blue jays, warblers, tuffed titmouse, and so on. I love watching them!!!! Oh yeah, and doves, but they are more on the ground so they get to fight with the squirrels... But I digress, love the bird!
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love!! Lori, such a beautiful specimen
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely.
ReplyDeleteI came from Inkspillers blog...and what a beautiful watercolor of your bird. Simply elegant and beautiful! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
ReplyDeleteWell, I think your birds are absolutely gorgeous and lifelike. I love the doodle spots. Do you use any kind of masking/fluid?
ReplyDeleteColorpoems...first, thank you! Yes, I've used masking fluid but it's been years. I actually was thinking of trying it out again this past week.
