Trying something new for 2013 called a daily watercolor journal. I was so inspired by this talented lady and decided that it would be a fantastic daily push toward creativity. Join me? Read on...

To begin, you'll need a journal, right? And even though I've drooled over fancy journals, something less costly is more my speed and way less threatening.  Next week I'll show you how I made this journal with only one sheet of quality watercolor paper. (It nets 24 journal pages!)

If you're interested in joining me, here's what you'll need:
one sheet of 22" x 30" watercolor paper, one half sheet of poster board, waxed linen thread (like this) or heavy polyester thread, tapestry needle, an awl or nail

To make it a little more fancy, you could use:
2-3 sheets of 12" cardstock or fabric, spray adhesive (I used this), about 14" of soft elastic, gorilla glue, clips

About that change of plans:
I've decided not to close the shop as I thought it was closer to Christmas than it actually was...don't ask. Anyway, I'll leave it open for some time next week and if anything is purchased this weekend while I'm traveling, it'll be promptly mailed out on Monday.

Have a great weekend!
