obvious decisions, studio pics & a leather giveaway

Remember this post?  Well. After I took in all of your sage (and extremely appreciated) advise, I decided that it was time to quit whining and pull on my big girl panties. It's now obvious that I've decided to continue making leather bags - at least through this Christmas.

After that?  I'm not so sure but I'm thinking there may be a change. Lots of options are in my mind.  Options which are doable while living in two different places at once.  So we'll see.  I'm excited.  And that's all I've got to say about that.

Studio shots.  Lots of new leather goodies in the works.  And as a result...

I'm amassing quite the pile of swaggy leather scraps.  So.  If you think you could use them in your playful creative endeavors, I'd love to pass on a few lovely bundles.  They're all scraps - but beautiful scraps they are in a variety of textures and colors.  I'll send three people small (13 oz) bundles - which is surprisingly more than you'd think!  Just leave a comment below and I'll randomly pick a few.  NOTE: Sorry - this is only open to readers right here in the good ole' US of A.

I'll use Random.org to select the recipients on Friday morning and contact you.
Good luck!

  1. I'm glad you're going to keep up the bags, at least for now. I think you should do what you WANT to do. Maybe run limited editions of your sketches. Have 25 made up and once they're gone, they're gone! Sewing will always be there, you'll never leave it, it means to much to you, trust me, some things are just in your blood.

  9. oh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh!
I can't believe you consider that a pile of scraps. No, that's some good stuff there.
When I was a kid, back in the 70's, my sister and I would rummage through the Post Office dumpster and come out with scads of sample cards with 2" x 2" fabric swatches attached. We delighted in how much possibility those little bits of fabric held.
The possibility of getting my hands on 13 ounces of those fat scraps you've got there is causing my mind race.
    Oh, the excitement!

  10. I have two ideas for the leather scraps - jewelry, of course, would be one, but I also like to make dollhouse miniatures, and I am thinking it would be fun to make leather shoes for the dolls or something along those lines! Thanks for the giveaway and glad to hear you are going to continue making bags!
