diy simple tied pouch
Away from home and having diy withdrawals? What's a girl with no supplies to do? Why, she hits the local five & dime (all you kiddos, that means Walmart) to create a simple, "i got no supplies" cash and cards pouch!
Note: I'm making it with a divider inside (brown). You can easily omit the inside brown.
Materials:
scissors (which, as my mom would say, won't cut hot butter)
2 pieces of felt
embroidery thread
tapestry needle
ribbon
fold in half lengthwise and cut up the middle
cut inside felt - 4 1/4" x 7"
fold bottom half over, position brown felt, and pin at the bottom fold
add a simple stitch across the pinned area
fold the bottom half over and secure all layers with side blanket stitches
center the ribbon on the outside of the flap and pin. then stitch in place
my yen for a simple, diy is satisfied and I now have a cute little tied pouch.
