a summerfied question for you
As much as I love the black and white photos, and oh, I do love the black and white photos, I feel that my shop needs to be summerfied, lightened up. So I spent the day rephotographing and editing.
These are the winterfied pics. Love. Love. Lovelove.
There's that stray colorful thumb that I REFUSE to fix. See it?
(notice Marcie's beaded pull?)
I'm afraid to ask you. Because I REALLY don't want to make more changes. Ugh.
I'm afraid to ask you. Because I REALLY don't want to make more changes. Ugh.
But here goes.
Are you afraid cuz you know the answer? I'm afraid to tell you that I like the last group, in fact I love them! (sorry, hehehe)! Love all of your new work too! Happy editing! I actually have a few bags I need to rework, ugh!
ReplyDeleteI like all of them, but the second group is a little more summery. :)
ReplyDeleteI like anything you do, your photography is always great, and the things you're selling are so primo I get the quality no matter what the photo style~
ReplyDeleteI like the shots. I am very partial to your black and white shots and they highlight your beautiful bags wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteDo I update seasonally! HA, I am still struggling to figure my damn camera out! :)
Thank you Lori, Debi, and Kelly! Whew. I really didn't want to change them back so a little positive reinforcement goes a long way with me. :)
ReplyDeleteCourtney, I'm impressed that you are using all the settings! Bravo for you.
ReplyDeletedef more summery and light! mission accomplished :)
ReplyDeleteand negatory on seasonal updates. I'm struggling to even update regularly right now. I need more hours in the day!
I love them lighter...I do agree they have a more Summery look. That said, I love the B and W...which looks fab always. Not much help am I...!? Go with your gut feeling.
ReplyDeleteJenni
I do love the colors, but I have to say, I like when your pretty model puts them on, for size perspective. :)
ReplyDeleteI just got it! You already changed them to summery!!! Dah!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always fab. It is winter here, so my tastes may be reversed. Hehe. I love the way your bags pop against the B&W but I love them all. I have purse-lust. :)
ReplyDeletei like the second set of photos as they focus on the product and there's less distraction from the texture and images of the black/white's background.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Debi, you got it. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth look fabulous! The black and white background does feel more wintery and the last photos more summery!
ReplyDeleteI have always been simple about my photos so I never change them. However I think is a great idea for handbags! ~Val
Yes, Val. I agree. I think that some items really don't need to be changed - like jewelry. But apparel and accessories may.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks guys. The positive reinforcement tells me that crouching on the floor for hours wasn't in vain. :)
All your photos are always great! Now that I have my big girl camera I need to re-photograph all my jewelry...the pictures I currently have are not great at all.
ReplyDeleteLori, I love the last ones ... they are summery and light. The light wood props add to a light feeling and, of course, your colors are the bomb!
ReplyDeleteEverything you do is just Wonderful!! I need about 4 bags from you and that would make me Happy!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile I love your winter photos, your summerified ones are awesome too....def light and airy :) So for that, mission accomplished!
ReplyDeleteSeasonal? Me? Ha. Yeah. Right. I'm not that organized ;)
I like them all, even the colorful thumb (which i did not see until you pointed it out)...
ReplyDeleteMaybe put some color shots mixed with the black & white on the same page. That may please everyone.
Wait, Wait. I think your blog does that already so I guess you have to decide :)
Your shop photos are really unparalleled! I love the summery feel of them!
ReplyDeleteI never change my photos...so lazy :(
