annie's vigil
This is Annie, my mother's constant companion. Annie was orphaned as an adult when her former owner passed away so my mother "adopted" her.
Annie's bottom lip is in a constant pout because she's missing half of her teeth.
This, of course, doesn't prevent her from dishing out her share of "love bites".

Annie sits on my mother's lap and gazes adoringly into her eyes, then falls asleep.
When mom was in the hospital this past week, I would drop by the house and call out for Annie. She wouldn't run to the front door. Instead, each time she could be found perched on the back of mom's chair. She would only come down for food and then promptly return to her vigil.
Mom is now recovering at home, and Annie is happy.
I am so glad Annie and your Mom are back together again. I would not know what to do without my kitties! There is nothing more soothing than a purring kitty on your lap.
