Quite frankly, I am proud of the level of dedication and motivation coming from Studio Waterstone this week - new handbags and clutches every day. The whirlwind of activity is truly something to behold and in the spirit of my proudness and extreme wish that the productivity doesn't crash and burn, I ask this week's question:
Describe your perfect day.

I've got a small stack of jewelry magazines and a bag filled with various stones and whatnot. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the swag so as an alternative, I've included a totally unrelated photo. Promise to add a photo tomorrow.

I am very clearly addicted to blues and greens.
I'm unemployed right now so my perfect day would be to get a call with a job off that has flexible hours, great pay and something that I would love to do. Any takers on helping me out?? :)

ReplyDeleteThis is tough, but I think a perfect day for me would be having enough time to do everything I wanted to do without having to do anything I didn't want to do (you know, like laundry and grocery shopping!). I would like to sleep in, spend time in the studio, have my meals brought to me, relax, read, go for a run, have some expensive(free) wine and get a massage!

ReplyDeleteMy perfect day would start with getting a severance package, followed by six hours on the torch before meeting my kids at the bus stop to play and do homework before having them both help cook dinner. No rushing to fit everything in before bedtime. And of course, no whining :)
ReplyDeleteI'm about to head back to see my family after a year of being away. Perfect day is breakfast with my sisters, some window shopping and a good gossip/catch-up followed by a lovely evening spent sitting outside watching a warm sunset with my parents, sisters and their families and having a BBQ. Hmm... perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy perfect day would start with a temperature over 85 degrees F, feet in the sand and champagne in the hand...

And maybe a very yummy dinner with lots of garlic - outside.
My perfect day is to do just what I want to do: art, music, pizza, shopping, talking, reading. . .and still accomplish being of value to others. . .selfish/selfless?

ReplyDeleteIt would be beyond perfect if my husband could have a day off from his ten hour a day seven days a week job routine. We could sit around the house doing nothing all day and I would be absolutely content. : )
ReplyDeleteI would be in the mountains and have my family around me. We'd hike and have hot chocolate and then I would make some jewelry.
ReplyDeleteA perfect day for me is the feeling I have waking up at my Mom's house. We travel there a few times a year and it is that wonderful feeling of waking up relaxed, knowing she'll help make the day special for my girls. My husband and I get to visit read and enjoy some down time. I must admit the best part is getting the "TLC" from my Mom. At 40, it is wonderful to feel the comfort of my childhood from time to time. That is perfection for me.

ReplyDeleteI would have to say a perfect day would have to start with snuggling with my husband and great dane in bed. Then we would get up and take a trolley ride into ybor city. The weather will be cool but the sun will warm on our faces. We will occupy our time sitting outside, people watching while enjoying one of the best cafe con leches around :)
ReplyDeletePerfect day, start off with a great cup of coffee (Starbucks or Deadman's Reef), work on the torch while mom is sawing. In the afternoon have a bottle of Pepsi and work on enameling the pieces mom sawed out and for dinner would be more Pepsi and a good pizza! I could do that day over and over again!
ReplyDeleteWas originally gonna say any day off from work is pretty much perfect, add playing with jewelry in any way shape or form would be a nice bonus.
ReplyDeleteI also like Kelley's comment about a severance package, a HUGE severance package please, which would lead to endless playing!!
The perfect day:
ReplyDeleteget up when I'm ready preceeded by cuddles with kids.
Homemade gluten free waffles (this never happens in real life), canned peaches and a soft poached egg for breakfast.
Followed by the perfect combination of a long walk, sewing something, reading something, and time spent at a coffee shop with good company. Finish it all off with a date with this hot guy I know at some little pizza place only the locals know about.
Any day that's relatively unscheduled and invokes pjs until at least 10, a big family breakfast, time with my husbandand kids, and a bit of time to myself to cook, read, or create :-)

ReplyDeletea perfect day? early morning walk with the dog, nice breakfast with the man, perusing the yard to check out the plants whilst watching the kittens terrorize each other, working on jewelry or sewing projects, a nap in the afternoon, someone else making me dinner and cleaning the dishes, then a movie, then bed.

The turquoise is making me drool...my perfect day? A little beading in the morning, a little niece and nephew time for lunch (watched Toy Story 3 yesterday and could probably add that into a perfect day!), an evening with dinner at Mixto (the chic mexican place in town), and salsa dancing in the evening. Yep, just about perfect.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... my perfect day. Wake up late, the house is magically clean, everyone is happy, we hang out at the beach or park, come home to nap, dinner at a kid friendly restaurant and a fun movie at home. Wow, when did I become so domesticated??
