a creative question

studio waterstone eco friendly recycled leather handbags

This week's creative question is:

What have you seen before and said to yourself, "I can do that."

and you did it?

P.S. I'm having a blast on my 3-day sabbatical.
Rejuvenated and ready to get back into the studio!
And my answer would have to be making my first leather handbag.
I saw one in the store - WAY out of my price range and decided to get creative.

Isn't creativity a splendid thing?

Okay, your turn. Spill.

  2. I saw a large 3x5 foot mirror with a honkin frame. Mine is now on our dining room wall :)

My captcha word is mormat. Do you think that would be the equivalent of a Mormon Borat? ;)

  3. When we remodeled (gutted) our kitchen, the quote to texture our ceilings was in the thousands. I said "I can do that". A contractor friend showed me how and I did it. Turned out great, BUT, I will never do a ceiling again. I couldn't move my neck for WEEKS!! I'll try anything once! (almost)

  4. The faux finish paint on the walls at my dentists office... granted I had quite a long time just staring at it... turned out gorgeous and realized it wasn't as hard as I imagined. ~:o)

  5. I have one of those addictive behaviors/ personalities. When I see something that I like, I HAVE to have it... the price almost always gets in my way. I also like creating and making something out of nothing. Which is where Knitting, sewing, spinning, weaving, beading and woodworking come in!

Like I said... addictive behavior.(proof: my recent purchases of Waterstone Beauties!)

  6. Renovated two entire floors of my house in the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy. Like physically painted it myself. Towards the end I thought I would not make it and the baby would have to sleep the first nights sleeping between paint buckets. But I got done just in time and had a few days to sit and relax before she was born :)
